We met the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom back in CES 2017 and ASUS has finally brought it to the Malaysian shores, the ZenFone 3 Zoom features an optical stabilized dual camera setup just like the iPhone 7 Plus, which has both a wide angle and telephoto lens that offers up to 2.3x optical zoom at 25mm and 59mm focal length, the phone’s camera will take 12-megapixel photos and features a maximum f/1.7 aperture on its wide angle lens, which is a significant improvement over its predecessor and should deliver much better low light performance.
In terms of hardware specifications, the ZenFone 3 Zoom is powered by the reliable Snapdragon 625 processor mated to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, the phone also comes with many decent features, which includes a 5-magnet speaker with a NXP Smart Amp, a 5000mAh battery with reverse charging support, a 13-megapixel selfie camera, dual SIM with VoLTE support, and a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 5.
Retailing at the price of RM2,099, the ZenFone 3 Zoom is a rather attractive buy if you are not too particular about that mid-range system-on-chip, the phone still comes with Android 6.0 with ZenUI out of the box at this point of time, but you should expect an Android Nougat update very soon.
