The ZenBook Pro line-up was accompanied by the ZenBook S, an ultraportable laptop that does not compromise performance. It also comes with MIL-STD-810G durability standards, making it light, powerful and strong.
The ZenBook S is only 12.9mm-thin and weighs 1kg, making it the best laptop to bring around. It has a new ErgoLift hinge mechanism that raises and tilts the keyboard by 5.5 degrees which Asus deems perfect for comfortable typing. The lift is not just to elevate the keyboard, it also creates an extra ventilation space that allows more airflow around the underside of the chassis and offers a better sound quality thanks to the Harmon Kardon audio system.
Specs wise, it comes with the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM clocked at 2133MHz and up to 1TB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD. The body of the laptop is not the only thing that is beautiful, Asus has fitted a 4K UHD NanoEdge touchscreen with a wide 72% NTS colour gamut and narrow bezels for the extra immersion.
However, due to its thin form factor, the laptop comes with 3 USB Type-C ports, with two of them supporting ThunderBolt and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Asus plans to release the laptop later in the year and price wise, it is expected to be somewhere around 1299USD.
