Although Computex might seem to be a little quiet for some tech companies, it isn’t for AMD and ASUS ROG, as the latter has uploaded a video teasing the arrival of a Ryzen powered gaming notebook. AMD’s Ryzen mobile chip has been confirmed to be an APU, which combines both CPU and GPU into a single chip, codenamed “Raven Ridge”, the mobile Ryzen chips will have four-cores and eight threads based on the “Zen” architecture.
Since this is a gaming notebook, it is unclear which graphics chip that it would be using, given that the graphics chip in APUs aren’t made for hard core gaming. As of now, we know that AMD will be unveiling the Radeon Vega chip for desktops, could the AMD Ryzen powered notebook be using a low powered Polaris Enhanced GPU? Or is there a chance where NVIDIA’s Pascal graphics will still be used in this gaming notebook?
