ASUS Malaysia has announced an exciting budget 16-inch laptop that comes with discrete graphics. For just RM3999, the ASUS Vivobook 16X K3605 comes with a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H processor and GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU with 6GB GDDR5, which is quite an attractive deal if you ever want a mainstream laptop with some decent gaming power.
One of the reasons how ASUS has made this laptop at such an attractive price is obviously the usage of an older generation CPU, which by all means will still work extremely well for most people although it doesn’t come with a NPU for on-device AI tasks, the Core i5-12500H CPU is an 8-core CPU with 4 Performance and 4 Efficiency Cores with a Turbo Boost clock speed up to 4.5GHz and 18MB of Cache.
