Though Intel 9th Gen powered laptops are starting to get widely available, AMD and ASUS have launched a series of laptops powered by the 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen laptop processors, the highlight of the launch includes the ASUS TUF FX505 Gaming that our very own Victor Ng has unboxed, the ROG Zephyrus GA502 and VivoBook Ultra A412.
The TUF FX505 Gaming looks identical to its Intel cousin, featuring a military grade standard build to withstand drops and bumps. The base specs of the laptop starts with a Ryzen 5 3550H CPU and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 GPU, while maxing out with a Ryzen 7 3750H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, a 120Hz 15.6-inch IPS panel and 512GB of PCIe M.2 SSD. Prices will start from RM2,899 to RM5,199.
The AMD-powered TUF FX505 Gaming will be available starting June 2019.
The ROG Zephyrus GA502 will be available early July 2019.
The laptop is powered by the low voltage Ryzen 5 3500U processor and Radeon 8 Vega Graphics, allowing users to perform multimedia workflow and casual gaming on the go, the laptop also features a NumberPad on its trackpad like the ZenBooks and a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello.
The VivoBook Ultra A412 retails at an attractive price tag of RM2,199 and will be available 23 May 2019 onwards.
