ASUS launches gaming laptops with Intel Tiger Lake-H45 CPUs and RTX 3050 GPUs

ASUS has launched their new lineup of gaming laptops, equipped with the Intel Tiger Lake- H45 CPUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050/3050Ti GPUs. 

1. TUF Gaming F15 and F17 

These popular budget gaming laptops are getting a small makeover in its aesthetics – they now sport a new, streamlined TUF logo, along with a metal Eclipse Gray finish.  

Three SKUs are available – the 15-inch versions can pack either an Intel Core i5-11400H+RTX 3050 or Core i7-11800H+RTX 3060; while the 17-inch model comes with a Core i5-11400H+RTX3050. 

What all three models share is a 144Hz FHD display, and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD for storage. 

The TUF Gaming F15 is priced at RM4,199 for the Core i5-11400H model, and RM4,299 for the Core i7-11800H model; while the TUF Gaming F17 laptop will start at RM4,299.  

2. TUF Dash F15 

This is a more portable option if you’re always on the go – the laptop measures at just 1.99CM thin and weighs 2KG. 

The laptop also comes in two colour options – Eclipse Gray and Moonlight White, while boasting same, stripped down look as the TUF Gaming F15 laptops. 

Under the hood is an Intel Core i7-11370H CPU that’s accompanied by an RTX 3050Ti. This combination lets you run modern AAA games with no problems on the laptop’s 144Hz FHD monitor. 

For memory, you get 8GB of on-board RAM, and 512GB of storage via an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. 

The TUF Dash F15 is priced at RM4,799 and will be available this month. 

3. ROG Strix G15 and Strix G17 

For that distinct ROG aesthetic, the Strix G15 and Strix G17 laptops have also been refreshed to pack an RTX 3050 GPU. 

For the processor, you get two options – an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H chip, or a Ryzen 7 5800H CPU. All models come with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. 

Design-wise, you can choose either the Eclipse Gray version, or the Electro Punk Special version; Both designs have a strip of RGB lining the bottom of the laptop. 

The Strix G15 with the Ryzen 5 5600H model is priced at RM4,199, while the Ryzen 7 5800H version is priced at RM4,499. The Strix G17 comes with the Ryzen 7 5800H too and it costs RM4,599. Lastly, the special Electro Punk version will set you back RM,4799. 

4. ROG Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus M16 

Moving on to the brand’s premium lineup, the Zephyrus G14 is now available in a new Prismatic effect design. The Moonlight White model comes with a Prismatic Signage Logo on the cover, while non-AniMe Matrix version get a Prismatic Film on the chassis. 

If you do get the AniMe Matrix laptops, you’ll be glad to know that you can now display a virtual pet on the LED cover.  

Specs-wise, the Ryzen 7 5800HS+RTX 3050Ti (RM6,499) model sports a 14-inch WQHD 120Hz display panel. Meanwhile, models with an FHD 144Hz display can be equipped with the Ryzen 5800HS CPU and either a GTX 1650 (RM4,799) or RTX 3050 (RM5,699) card. 

Lastly, the Zephyrus M16 is the best of the lot – it comes with an Intel Core i9-11900H CPU and either an RTX 3070 or RTX 3060 GPU. 

The laptops come with a 16-inch WQXGA 165Hz panel, and it supports a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, Dolby Vision HDR, and is Pantone validated.
