The ASUS ExpertBook B9 laptop has been launched and the company claims that it’s the lightest business laptop in the world – and with a weight of just 870g and thickness of 14.9mm, that could very well be true.
Thin and light
The 14-inch laptop comes with a bezeless NanoEdge display that’s fitted into a small 13-inch body. It sports a classy Star Black finish coated on a magnesium-lithium alloy body for that premium toughness. It also has ASUS’ signature ErgoLift hinge for better airflow and typing angle. Another signature feature is of course the ASUS NumberPad 2.0 which is an LED-illuminated keypad built into the touchpad.
Top-tier hardware
Under the hood of the ExpertBook B9 is a 10th-Gen Intel Core i7 chip with up to 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and up to 2TB M.2 SSDs should you populate both PCIe 3.0 x4 slots. For graphics, there’s the Intel UHD Graphics 620. A premium 2020 laptop isn’t complete without support for Wi-Fi 6.
Connectivity
For I/O ports, there’s 2x Thunderbolt 3 USB C ports, 1x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type A, 1x HDMI out, 1x HDMI port, an Ethernet interface via a mini HDMI port, and a headphone jack.
24-hours of battery life
Powering the laptop is up to a 66W battery which ASUS claims can last you up to 24 hours of regular usage on a single charge. Being a Project Athena-certified product, that claim could very well be true.
