Last week, we mentioned that Astro is launching its eSports channel called “eGG”. Today, Astro is issuing a casting call to find a personality (or personalities) for the channel.
On the 14th of May, Astro will be hosting an audtion to find a host for eGG. The audition will be held at the All Asia Broadcast Centre at Bukit Jalil from 10am to 5pm. If you’re interested in the gig, you can register here. Registrations will be open from the 3rd of May until the 14th of May.
If you’re living outside of Selangor, don’t fret as you can also participate in the audition. International talents are apparently welcomed as well so if you’re currently studying overseas, you can also take part in the audition.
As always, there are pre-requisites for the job. Applicants must be 18 years of age by the 1st of May 2016 and must have a good command of the English language. An interest in eSports or video games, as well as the ability to present yourself comfortably in front of the camera is important as well. If all of the requirements sounds intimidating to you, don’t be, as Astro has explicitly stated that prior experience as a host isn’t required.
So if you want to be a part of the growing eSports scene in Malaysia, but feel that your skills in gaming leaves much to be desired, you can still be a part of it as a shoutcaster.
