2017 will mark the 10th anniversary of Apple’s iconic iPhone. If rumours are to be believed, it appears that Apple has something big in store with their iPhones this year as Fast Company has heard from an inside source that the upcoming iPhone 8 will come with a slew of new features, as well as a pricetag that is over USD1,000.

So what can you expect from the iPhone 8? For starters, the phone itself will now sport a 5.8″ OLED display, which isn’t particularly surprising considering that an OLED iPhone has been mentioned since late last year. The iPhone 8 may also get a memory upgrade that puts it above the iPhone 7. In terms of design, the iPhone 8 will be built using forged stainless steel for the sides and glass for the back of the phone. Finally, the iPhone 8 may not be named that after all as there are whispers saying that Apple is considering naming it the iPhone X in order to commemorate the iPhone’s 10th anniversary.

The iPhone 8 won’t be the only iPhones being launched this year either as Apple will supposedly launch the 4.7″ iPhone 7s and the 5.5″ iPhone 7s Plus. Both of these phones will still be based on the iPhone 7, so they won’t be sporting OLED displays quite yet. On the plus side, it also means that both models will be slightly more affordable than the iPhone 8.
