Apple recently launched the new iPod touch that is better and also faster than its predecessor with its A10 Fusion chip, AR support and ability to Group FaceTime others.
Weighing at only 88g, the iPod touch is a tiny device with a 4-inch Retina display and still comes with a Touch ID. It looks really similar to older iPhones with no notch and thick bezels, but its A10 Fusion chip doubles the performance and triples the graphic performance of the new iPod touch.
The chipset also enables AR support on the iPod touch, so consumers will finally be able to play AR games on the new device. In addition, consumers can subscribe to Apple Arcade where there are over 100 new games that can be played both online and offline, without ads and in-app purchases.
Needless to say, the iPod touch comes with iOS 12 that has extra features like Screen Time that can help consumers analyse their data and manage their time on certain apps. The iPod touch also has an 8MP camera on the back paired with a FaceTime HD camera on the front.
Music playback is probably the main focus of the consumers when purchasing the iPod touch, so the device retains its 3.5mm headphone jack and can support music playback up to 40 hours. The Apple EarPods will also be included in the box, alongside with a Lightning to USB cable.
The iPod touch comes in six colours — Blue, Pink, Space Grey, Silver, Gold and Red. There are three storage configurations for the iPod touch — 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. The lowest configuration will cost RM899, followed by RM1,349 and RM1,799. It can be purchased at Apple Authorised Resellers, Apple Store app, Apple’s official site and also select carriers.
