As of now, there aren’t many smartphones that supports reverse wireless charging, and this includes Apple’s iPhones. However, rumour has it that the newer iPhones will come with this feature.
This piece of information is supported by both Macotakara, a Japanese Apple news blog and also Kuo Ming-Chi, a reliable Apple products analyst, and Macotakara reported that the new iPhones will able to charge the Apple Watch and AirPods Wireless Charging Case with the new feature.
That aside, the Japanese news blog also reported that the new iPhone will still be using a Lightning cable but might come with the 18W USB-C brick. If so, the new iPhones will need a Lightning to USB-C cable for faster charging speeds, and it’s only reasonable that the company also bundle the Lightning to USB-C cable if they’re going to provide the 18W USB-C brick.
Previous news also suggested that the new iPhones will come with a square camera setup, which is quite similar to the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro.
