Alongside the new iPad and iPad mini comes the Apple Watch Series 7 – main improvements are focused on display size, overall design, and faster charging.
With this new device, the watch face now spans almost the entire chassis, offering a 20% increase in screen real-estate compared to the Series 6. The watch comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes.
To fit the larger display, Apple says that the watchOS 8 software running under the hood now sports better optimized apps that fill the screen properly. There’s also support for a full-sized QWERTY keyboard now too. On top of that, the front crystal panel is crack resistant and supports IP6X dust resistance and WR50 water resistance rating.
In terms of design, the watch now sports an aluminium case that has more rounded corners that seamlessly blend with the refractive edges of the device’s display.
As usual, you get blood oxygen tracking, a heart sensor, ECG monitoring, fall detection, Apple Wallet and more; plus, up to 18 hours of battery life and faster charging that Apple claims can power up your watch from zero to 80 percent in just 45 minutes.
The Apple Watch Series 7 comes in plenty of colours including a new blue, (PRODUCT)RED, green starlight, and more. The watch is priced from $399 (about RM1,660) and will available this September 21.
