An Apple analyst has claimed that the Apple Watch 2 will be unveiled at WWDC this coming June, and the wearable is said to be significantly thinner than its predecessor. Analyst Brian White from Drexel Hamilton suggests that the Apple Watch 2 will be up to 40 percent thinner than the original Apple Watch.
Previous rumors suggest that the Apple Watch 2 will be making its appearance alongside the iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro at Apple’s event last month, but turned out to be wrong. White stated that the Apple Watch 2 will not be announced alongside the iPhone 7, which is expected to be unveiled later this year in September, hence the analyst strongly believes that the new wearable will be featured at WWDC instead.
Speaking about the iPhone 7, White believes that only the iPhone 7 Plus will be sporting a dual-camera setup, while the smaller iPhone 7 will be retaining the conventional single-camera setup. This claim is also made by Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable source from KGI securities. The original Apple Watch was announced in September 2014, leading to its release in April the following year. As for now, these claims seem to be appearing from thin air so do expect more rumors to be served your way. Tell us your thoughts at the comments section below!
