Apple removes all WhatsApp Sticker apps from App store

Apple users will no longer be able to create their own customized WhatsApp Stickers. According to WABetainfo, Apple has started deleting WhatsApp Stickers apps from the Apple App Store as these apps have found to be violating the company’s guidelines for developers.

Apple has given three main reasons for the deletion. First, there are too many apps with similar behavior. Second, one has to install WhatsApp to use WhatsApp sticker apps which is against the company’s App Store guidelines which according to Apple, an app should not require another app to work. Last but not least, the designs of all of these apps are all the same.

WhatsApp had once announced that they supports third party developers to build sticker apps for Whatsapp on both iOS and Android back in October. After this announcement was made, it is reported that the Apple App Store began being flooded with different types of stickers apps. However, it will now be taken away for iOS users since Apple is deleting all the stickers apps from its App Store.
