If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod, chances are good that you’ll be receiving iOS update 9.3.2 today. If you’re on an 9.7″ iPad Pro though, that update will come at a later date as Apple have received reports that iOS 9.3.2 has been bricking some iPad Pros.
Those who were affected by the faulty update states that the affected iPad Pro would show a ‘connect to iTunes’ message. Once connected, iTunes would only display an ‘Error 56’ message, thus making it impossible to restore the tablets.
Apple has not offered any explaination as to what is causing the device lockout, but the company has said that it is currently “working on a fix” and will “issue an update as quickly as possible.” Interestingly enough, this update only affects the 9.7″ variant of the iPad Pro and not the 12″ variant.
Reports from 9to5Mac seems to suggest that Apple will be replacing affected iPad Pros with new hardware, but as Apple did not issue a formal statement regarding that matter, there are no guarantees that this option is available to those who own the device in Malaysia.
