Recent reports are indicating that Apple is going to launch Apple News subscription service on 25 March, and this service is described as the “Netflix for news”.

According to Buzzfeed, the tech giant plans to focus on services instead of products during the event, so we probably won’t get to see the second-generation AirPods, AirPower or even the iPad and iPad Mini that was rumored to make a comeback. While Apple has been known to organize product launch events in late March, it seems like the product launch will be pushed back this year.

There has also been news regarding Apple’s video streaming service and Apple TV subscription service which were rumored to be launching in April, so it is possible that it could be launched at the same time, or we might get a sneak peek on the streaming and subscription service during the launch in March.

Buzzfeed also suggested that the event could be delayed due to revenue-sharing terms between Apple and publishers as there were reports stating that the tech giant plans on taking a 50% cut for the service. This means that the supposedly $10/month subscription will be divided into half; one half for Apple whereas the other half shared among publishers depending on the number of people reading their articles.

On a side note, Apple News is only available in Australia, UK and US for now so unless you are in one of these regions, you won’t see this feature in your iPhone.
