Apple Malaysia announces pre-order and release dates for the iPhone 8

Looking to get the new iPhone 8 here in Malaysia? Well, wait no more as Apple Malaysia has officially announced the date that the new smartphone will be releasing, 20 October 2017. Apple has posted up the dates today that indicated when the phone will be released and also mentioned that pre-orders will start on 13 October 2017.

The new iPhone 8 will bring many key features that users have been looking forward to, wireless charging using the Qi standard is finally available for the first time on an iPhone. A nice change to follow the standard wireless charging that most phones are using, rather than using their own proprietary standard which Apple is renowned for. For picture taking lovers, Apple has included a wide range of features like the Portrait Lighting where you can change the lighting of a portrait even after the picture is taken giving more of a photo studio feel and the new A11 bionic chip which is a 70% improvement over the A10 chip seen in previous generation devices.

The iPhone 8 is a hardware and software upgrade for those of you that want to change from your previous iPhones or new users that want to jump into the Apple ecosystem. As we mentioned before, the iPhone 8 will cost RM3,649 and RM4,399 for the 64GB and 256GB variants respectively, and the iPhone 8 Plus will cost RM4,149 and RM4,899 for the 64GB and 256GB variants respectively. However, there is no indicator from Apple about the release date of the iPhone X here in Malaysia and for those of you that want to get the highest end iPhone would have to wait awhile more until November rolls around.
