Antigravity has officially launched the Antigravity A1 in Malaysia, introducing one of the most unique consumer drones on the market. Designed as a flying 360-degree camera system, the A1 combines an ultra-light drone, immersive Vision Goggles and a Grip motion controller to deliver an intuitive first-person flight experience for creators and drone enthusiasts.

The Antigravity A1 is developed by Antigravity, a drone brand incubated by Insta360, and is notable for being the world’s first drone with an integrated 8K 360-degree camera system.

World’s First 8K 360° Camera Drone

Unlike traditional drones that record video from a single forward-facing camera, the Antigravity A1 features a dual-lens camera system that captures everything around the drone in 360 degrees. This setup records immersive 8K footage that can later be reframed into any perspective during editing.

The system uses advanced stitching algorithms to remove the drone from the footage, creating an “invisible drone” effect where the final video appears as if it were captured by a floating camera. This allows creators to shoot first and decide the framing later, eliminating the risk of missing key moments during flight.

Immersive FPV Flight with Vision Goggles

The A1 introduces a unique flying experience through its Vision Goggles and Grip motion controller. Pilots wear the goggles to view a real-time feed from the drone and control its movement using intuitive hand motions rather than traditional dual-stick controls.

Thanks to Antigravity’s FreeMotion technology, users can fly in one direction while looking in another, creating a more immersive flying experience similar to virtual reality.

Lightweight 249g Design and Long Flight Time

The drone weighs just 249g with the standard battery, keeping it below the regulatory threshold in many regions and making it easier for recreational users to fly.

With the standard battery, the Antigravity A1 offers up to 24 minutes of flight time, while a high-capacity battery can extend endurance to around 39 minutes, though this increases the drone’s weight.

Other key features include:

  • 8K 360-degree video recording up to 30fps
  • GPS, Galileo and Beidou positioning systems
  • Level-5 wind resistance up to 10.7 m/s
  • Maximum horizontal speed of 16 m/s
  • Return-to-home safety function and obstacle sensing
  • Up to 13 km flight distance per charge
  • 20GB internal storage for recorded footage
