Android Nougat begins rollout today

Nexus device owners rejoice as Google has begun rolling out Android 7.0, also known as Nougat, today.

The release version of Android 7.0 Nougat will bring with it a myriad of features. One such feature is multi-window multitasking, allowing you to run two apps side-by-side. Of course, the amount of screen space required for this feature means that tablets will be the device of choice for this feature. Another feature that comes with Nougat is that notifications will now be grouped by app in the notification shade. Pulling down on the notification shade will give you the full list of alerts, and you can also reply directly from these notifications.

For those who have been beta-testing Android Nougat, nothing much has change in this public release, considering that the last version of the beta was considered as a very stable version. As for the devices that will be receiving the Android Nougat update, the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, and Pixel C will be receiving the update over the air starting from today.
