The release of both the Oculus Rift and the Vive means that virtual reality is now available. To take advantage of the slowly, but surely, expanding VR market, AMD has decided to release the Radeon Pro Duo graphics card, the company’s first graphiics card aimed at VR developers.

First revealed back at AMD’s Capsaicin event, the Radeon Pro Duo comes with two 28nm Fiji XT GPUs. Supporting the two Fiji XT GPUs are 8,192 Stream Processors, 512 Texture Mapping Units (TMU) and 128 Render Output Units (ROP). The card’s has a core and memory clock of 100MHz and 500MHz respectively while it has a recorded FP32 performance of 16.4 TFLOPS. The Radeon Pro Duo will also have a power draw of 350W, which is equivalent of a dual R9 Nano setup.

As for cooling, the Radeon Pro Duo will come with a closed loop cooler that is similar to the one found on the R9 Fury X. The main difference between the Pro Duo and the Fury X however, is that the Pro Duo comes with a complete liquid cooling solution covering the VRMs on both GPUs along with the GPUs themselves.

The Radeon Pro Duo will be available starting from today and will have a retail price of USD 1,499 (RM 5,895).
