AMD is launching Radeon RX 500X series of graphics cards

AMD has a new graphics card line up and it seems to be a new and improved version of their RX 500 series cards. This information was found on their official website where they are now showing the placeholders for the Radeon RX 500X series of cards.

AMD did mention that they will be introducing a refresh of their graphics cards this year using 12nm manufacturing process alongside the vega architecture but we have not heard anything on this, giving us the impression that the cards were either cancelled or might take longer to arrive than we expected. Its safe to say these RX 500X series cards are not the new 12nm chips, but rather a performance improvement on their last’s year cards. AMD is known to use the “X” term in their processors to indicate a performance boost. That same idea could translate to its graphics cards as well with the new cards being a performance upgrade from its last year cards.

There is no indication on when these cards will release or the pricing, but seeing as the website has been updated to show these cards, we should expect an announcement from AMD soon.
