The 2nd generation Ryzen processors are coming very soon and it looks like we have got a taste of what it has to offer. In a recent leak by a forum user on South Korean HWBattle forums, shows that there is a Ryzen processor that has a clock speed of 4.2GHz.

The engineering sample seems to come with 8-cores and 16-threads with a maximum clock speed of 4.35Ghz. This is even faster than the previously leaked Ryzen 7 2700X processor which could indicate this chip being the Ryzen 7 2800 or 2800X. Based on the benchmark the user shared, it has managed to beat the Ryzen 7 1700X and its Intel rival, the Intel Core i7-8700K in CineBench and 3DMark test. We can also see that it comes up pretty close to the Intel Core i9-7980XE processor which on its own, is one of the most powerful processors that Intel ever produced.

However, these results should still be taken with a grain of salt as we do not know the system it is using or if AMD plans to change the processor when it releases. If this is the processor that we will see in the upcoming release, Intel might have a big problem on their hand as AMD seems to be gaining the lead with every alteration of their processors.
