Leading Android smartphone maker Samsung is expected to announce the new Galaxy A90 mid-range Android smartphone at a launch event on April 10. Just a few days before the smartphone’s formal unveiling, its alleged spec sheet has been leaked online.
According to the new leak, Samsung Galaxy A90 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7150 octa-core chipset. The unannounced Qualcomm chip is rumored to be a successor to the Snapdragon 710 from last year. Samsung Galaxy A90 will reportedly sport a 6.7-inch New Infinity Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 Full HD+ resolution and sound casting technology.
Apart from being Samsung’s first smartphone to have a Notchless Infinity display, the Galaxy A90 will also be the company’s first mobile device to have a sliding camera mechanism. The slider is expected to house a 48MP primary camera coupled with an f/2.0 aperture, an 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 3D ToF sensor. The sliding camera will be able to rotate as well, allowing users to capture selfies using the same sensors.
Surprisingly, the leak suggests the most expensive 2019 Galaxy A-series smartphone may not be very impressive in terms of battery life. The Galaxy A90 is said to pack only a 3700mAh capacity battery with 25W fast charging support.
