News of the Google Pixel XL2 (or the Google Pixel 2 XL) have surfaced yet again, this time via a benchmark test result on GFX Bench. It is probably still too early to speculate too much about Google’s first ever Pixel refresh which will be launched in the later part of this year.
According to Roland Quandt from tech news site Win Future uploaded an screenshot of the alleged benchmark test result of the Pixel XL2. The said device sports a rather odd 2560 x 1312 resolution display, which actually translates to a 17.5:9 aspect ratio. This follows to foot steps of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6’s displays at 18.5:9 and 18:9 respectively. The newer aspect ratio on the Pixel XL2 could also mean that the phone might feature a near bezel-less design as well.
Other specs based on the benchmark test result include a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 12MP rear facing camera has been retained, probably with a newer sensor or improved software, plus a 8MP selfie camera. Oddly enough, the device ran on Android 7.1.1 at the time it was tested, so it can be hard to believe the whole benchmark result.
Do bear in mind to take information like these with a huge grain of salt as we are still in the early stages of leaks and rumors for Google’s upcoming Pixel series. What do you think?
