Acer Swift 3X and Aspire 5 now refreshed with 11th Gen Intel Core CPUs

Acer recently refreshed the Acer Swift 3X and the Acer Aspire 5; both laptops are now available with the latest 11th gen Intel Core processors.

Acer Swift 3X

The 14-inch FHD laptop uses an IPS display and features a new device-lifting hinge design that helps ventilation and prevent overheating. Apart from that, Acer added multiple cooling modes — silent, normal or performance — so that users can use the appropriate modes when they’re performing tasks on the Swift 3X.

Apart from featuring up to 16GB RAM and 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD storage, the Swift 3X also comes with either the Intel Core i7 or i5 chipset and uses the Iris Xe MAX graphics that is supposedly better than the NVIDIA GeForce MX350.

The Acer Swift 3X also comes with a HDMI 2.0 port, two USB-A ports, and a USB-C port, in addition to two stereo speakers, a microphone and a fingerprint reader. This laptop comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 and has two configurations that are priced as below:

  • i7-1165G7, 16GB LPDDR4X RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD: RM4,599
  • i5- 8GB LPDRR4X RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD: RM3,799

Aspire 5

Acer also included the 11th Gen Intel Core processor and the Intel Iris Xe graphics in its Aspire 5, but the GPU can be switched with the GeForce MX350 graphics card.

The Aspire 5 starts with 4GB of RAM and 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage, but both can be upgraded if needed. Apart from that, the laptop is available in 14-inch and 15.6-inch displays, but both models are lightweight — the bigger one only weighs 1.65kg.

Unlike the Swift 3X, this laptop doesn’t have a fingerprint reader, but it does have two stereo speakers and similar number of ports. It is also pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 and runs on Windows 10 Home.

The Aspire 5 starts from RM2,799 and has configurations up to the i7-1165G7 chipset. The highest end model priced at RM3,799 comes with the i7 chipset paired with NVIDIA GeForce MX350, 4GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.
