The Acer Predator Orion 7000 gaming desktop is one of world’s first devices to pack a 12th-Gen Intel Core CPU. This launch happened alongside the unveiling of the Vero lineup of eco-friendly laptops.
The beast of a gaming rig can pack up to a Core-i9 16C/24T CPU alongside the very powerful GeForce RTX 3090 GPU. To go with the set of powerful hardware, you can opt to equip the Orion 7000 with up to 64GB of DDR5 4,000MHz memory, and up to 2TB of storage by way of an NVMe SSD, or 6TB via a 3.5-inch HDD.
Keeping the components cool are a couple of 140mm fans on the front and a single 120mm exhaust fan. For the CPU, there’s an AIO cooler that works together with Acer’s IceTunnel air intake system to provide proper air circulation within the case.
For connectivity, you get the Intel Killer 2.5G LAN feature for the best internet connection possible; or WiFi 6E if you prefer a wireless connection.
The Predator Orion 7000 will be available in China sometime Q1 2022, and is priced from RMB20,000 (about RM19,358). There’s no word on its local availability as of now, but this could be a decent alternative to building your own rig, especially with the ongoing high demand of GPUs that will make DIYs more difficult.
