Acer Malaysia has recently refreshed its laptops with 13th Gen Intel processors, and one of the more interesting ones is the 2023 Acer Swift 14, which essentially succeeds last year’s Acer Swift 5 laptop and continues to be a serious contender to ASUS’ mainstream Zenbooks.
The 2023 Swift 14 retains its predecessor’s hallmarks and design language, such as its 1.2kg weight and 14.95mm aerospace-grade aluminum unibody chassis, a 14-inch 2.5K IPS touch display with Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass, while all variants sold are now using 13th Gen Intel H series processors, which offers a bump in performance and power efficiency over its predecessor.
Acer claims that the 2023 Swift 14 is able to deliver up to 14 hours of battery life, it also offers great cooling efficiency with the TwinAir cooling system, where it offers dual cooling heatpipes and an air inlet keyboard that dissipates 10% more heat than a standard keyboard.
In terms of specs, the base model offers an Intel Core i5-13500H processor along with 8GB of onboard LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, while moving up one variant gives you 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and it maxes out with the Intel Core i7-13700H processor with 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, no discrete graphics option is being offered on the 2023 Acer Swift 14.
While it is rather unfortunate that we aren’t getting high refresh rates or OLED displays on the 2023 Acer Swift 14, the laptop has a really attractive starting price of RM4,299 and maxes out at RM5,399 for the Intel Core i7 variant, you can purchase the laptop at the Acer Malaysia e-Store and official stores on Shopee and Lazada at the end of April 2023.
