Acer launches addition to Concept D Pro, Swift 5 and Predator Triton 300 laptops at IFA 2019

The next@acer global press conference at this year’s IFA exhibition saw a list of interesting new offerings from the Taiwanese brand, from content creator-centric laptops to Predator gaming rigs, the conference had it all.

Starting with the refreshed Acer Swift 5 – a 14-inch machine boasting the newest 10th-Gen Intel Core i7 CPU. Accompanying it is an Nvidia GeForce MX 250 GPU for added power.  Being a Swift laptop, you can expect a nimble device – the Swift 5 boasts a 14.95 thickness and weighs less than 1KG.

Moving, Acer looks to the content creators and professionals by introducing the new Concept D Pro line-up of workhorse laptops. All models are equipped with Nvidia Quadro RTX GPUs so you know it’s built for power.

The most interesting of the lot however, is the Concept D7 Pro – it’s equipped with a pantone validated 15.6-inch 4K IPS display, which is great for accurate colour reproductions. Interestingly, it can be equipped with a 9th-Gen Intel Core CPU along with 32GB RAM and up to a Quadro RTX 5000 GPU.

The Concept D9 Pro is a bigger 17.3-inch laptop with pretty much the same setup underneath. What’s interesting about this device is the rotating display that borrows a few tricks from the Predator Triton 900. These Concept D laptops are Nvidia Studio-certified too.

Last of the new laptops introduced during the is a gaming-centric one. Acer’s Predator brand delivers the new mid-ranger in the form of the Triton 300.

It’s equipped with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU, along with Predator’s 4th-Gen AeroBlade 3D fan for thermals. The brains here is a 9th-Gen Intel Core i7 processor too. RGB keyboards come standard and the device is only 20mm thin.

Moving on, what came as a bit of a surprise is the Predator Power Gem – a heat dissipation material that supposedly increases 77% wattage into your processor. Acer claims that you will gain up to 12% in performance with the new material.
