Acer is enhancing class rooms with their new line up of ChromeOS devices

Other than just releasing devices catered to the commercial market, they also release ChromeOS devices that mostly caters to the education line and they have brought in the Acer Chromebook Tab 10, the first ChromeOS tablet in the market.

Acer Chromebook Spin 11

The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 features a stylish design that integrates Acer’s patented 360-degrees dual-torque hinge design which offers a wobble-free and optimized touch experience on the 11.6-inch HD IPS display. It is also bundled with a Wacom EMR stylus to give users the freedom of creativity and for easy note taking. It some comes with two cameras, on on the front of the display for video conferencing and the other is position on top of the keyboard, allowing users to put the device into tablet mode and take a picture using the camera.

As most of you know, Chromebooks now support the Play Store, which allows users access to 2 million Android apps and it comes with two USB Type-C Gen 1 ports which can be used to charge the device or connect other devices to it, offering transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps as well as connecting external displays. Under the hood, it is equipped with an Intel Celeron N3450, 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and up to 64Gb of onboard eMMC storage.

The Chromebook is available in two variants, the C6GV comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB of storage for RM 1,699 or the C9K5 which comes with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage which retails for RM1,399.

Acer Chromebook 11

The Chromebook 11 is the toughest Chromebook produced by Acer as it comes with MIL-STD 810F certification. It can withstand drops of up to 122cm thanks to its durable corner-shield structure and rubber bumper surrounding the keyboard. Its honeycomb structure can handle up to 60kg of downward force on the top cover.

All of this muscle comes in a 1.26kg body making it ideal for all kinds of users. Other than that, it comes with an 11.6-inch IPS screen and features two USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 ports which can be used to charge the laptop, connect an external display or transfer files with up to 5Gbps of speed. Its solid computing performance is thanks to the Intel Celeron N345 processor.

The Acer Chromebook 11 will retail for RM1,099 and is available at Acer’s Online Store and all Authorised Acer Resellers.

Acer Chromebook Tab 10

The Chromebook Tab 10 is the first tablet that runs ChromeOS which is built for the classroom and offers the speed and functionality of ChromeOS in a tablet. It comes with an OP1 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Other than that, it has a 9.7-inch QXGA IPS touchscreen display which offers great clarity for students to do research, watching videos or just doing homework and all of this will give you 9 hours of battery life. It also comes with a USB Type-C port which can be used to charge the device using even a power bank.

The tablet comes with Wacom EMR stylus which is embedded in the chassis, students can use it with apps, sketch, take notes and capture ideas that can be shared with classmates and teachers. It also supports Google’s AR Technology which can bring the classroom to live using AR apps which can be downloaded from the Play Store.

The Chromebook Tab 10 comes with a price of only RM1,299 and is available for purchase now at Acer’s Online Store or all Authorised Acer Resellers nationwide.

Acer ChromeBox CXI3

The CXI3 is perfect for the working world that requires ChromeOS as it comes with up to the latest 8th Generation Intel Core processor and up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM. It supports up to two monitors through the HDMI port and Type-C port without any grunt work from the user’s side.

Because it’s running on ChromeOS, users will have the peace of mind from the security that comes with the OS, as all the files are securely stored on the cloud. It also comes with a very small form factor which makes it easier to tuck it away to a corner or mount it behind a desktop monitor for even better space management.The ChromeBox CXI3 will be priced at RM1,999 and is available for immediate purchase.
