Acer has launched their Acer Day event that will go on from 4 to 6 August 2018 where they will be showcasing new products and huge discounts on existing products that can be purchased throughout the event. Other than just announcing Acer Day, the company has introduced three new products to the Malaysian market including the world’s thinnest laptop, the Acer Swift 7
Predator Helios 300 Special Edition
The Helios 300 Special Edition laptop is a limited-edition variant of the Helios 300, it comes with 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, 256GB PCIe SSD, paired with a 1TB hard drive. It comes with an upgraded 144hz 15.6-inch FHD IPS display and 8GB of DDR4 RAM which can be upgraded to 32GB.
For a smooth online connectivity, it comes with the latest Intel Wireless-AC 9560 that offers 1.73 Gbps throughput when using 160 Mhz channels and it comes with Acer’s AeroBlade 3D metal fans that keeps the laptop cool even under heavy loads. Currently, Acer has only brought in 50 of these laptops and it will be available for purchase mid-August. The Helios 300 Special Edition will retail for RM6,199 and it comes with a Predator Gaming backpack, earphones, gaming mouse and a mouse pad.
Acer Swift 7
The Acer Swift 7 is the world’s thinnest 4G LTE laptop with a thickness of only 8.98mm making it perfect for those of you that want ultra portability. It comes with a 7th Generation Intel Core processor and 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM that provides great multitasking abilities and a responsive performance. Storage wise, it comes with 256GB of PCIe SSD storage and all these hardware is powered by a battery that will give you up to 10 hours of usage. The hardware is packaged in a durable aluminum body that features a 14-inch FHD IPS display with narrow bezels that is covered with Gorilla Glass.
The build in 4G LTE connectivity allows you to be consistently connected to the Internet so you won’t need to worry have to worry about having bad WiFi. It also comes with security features like Windows Hello and a fingerprint reader that offers a password-free entry. The Acer Swift 7 will cost RM6,399 and comes with a protective sleeve, USB Type-C to HDMI adapter and a USB Type-A adapter in the box.
Acer Switch 7 Black Edition
The Switch 7 is the world’s first fan-less 2-in-1 laptop that comes with discrete graphics. It keeps it self-cool thanks to Acer’s Dual LiquidLoop which cools down the laptop using liquid cooling. It comes equipped with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and a Nvidia GeForce GTX MX150 graphics.
The Switch 7 Black Edition is also the first device that comes with Acer AutoStand that can be deployed and retracted with just one hand and it comes with a gorgeous 13.50inch QHD IPS display. The whole device weighs only 1.15kg.
