Apple names John Ternus as next CEO

Its an end of an era, and the beginning of an exciting one, as Apple has officially named John Ternus, its current hardware chief, as the next CEO starting September this year, while current CEO Tim Cook will be moving up to the Executive Chairman role by then.

With leaks and rumors going on about Apple’s leadership changes last year, it is no surprise that Ternus is up for the chief executive job as he plays a crucial role in overseeing major Apple product launches since 2001. Apple CEO Tim Cook has described Ternus as a visionary that has a mind of an engineer and soul of an innovator, while confident that he will continue to take Apple’s future to greater heights.

Aside from this, Apple’s Johny Srouji has been appointed as Chief Hardware Officer with immediate effect, Srouji is well known for the creation of Apple Silicon since the A4 chip on the iPhone 4, while he has also worked on custom chips and other hardware within the organization such as batteries, cameras, storage, controllers and more.

With this leadership change, Apple is expected to accelerate its development in game changing hardware, while it could also possibly mean speeding up its efforts in AI as it lacked behind competitors, Tim has certainly transformed Apple into an incredible company with services and record revenues during his time, and from the bottom of our hearts, we wish him and the new leaders the best in making products that change our lives.
