ASUS has officially introduced the ASUS V500 SFF (V501SV) in Malaysia, a new small form factor desktop PC designed specifically for modern homes. Rather than following the usual office-style desktop formula, the V500 SFF focuses on blending performance with a warmer, more lifestyle-oriented design that fits more naturally into living spaces.
Built around ASUS’ “Quiet Tech, Brilliant Living” philosophy, the V500 SFF is designed to look less like traditional computing hardware and more like a home appliance or furniture piece. The chassis features woven-style finishes, rounded edges and a warm 4000K indicator light, helping it integrate more seamlessly into home environments.
Built for Everyday Home Computing
Powering the ASUS V500 SFF is the Intel Core 7 240H processor, giving the system enough performance for day-to-day productivity, entertainment and family use. ASUS positions the desktop as a capable all-rounder for tasks such as schoolwork, budgeting, file organisation and general home productivity.
The desktop also comes bundled with Microsoft Office Home 2024 and a Microsoft 365 Basic subscription, making it ready for work and study straight out of the box.
Connectivity is well covered, with support for two display outputs, seven USB ports, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, ensuring it can keep up with modern peripherals and connected households.
Quiet and Efficient Operation
One of the key highlights of the V500 SFF is its cooling system, which ASUS says is engineered for both performance and quietness. The system uses a compact air cooler with copper heat pipes to transfer heat away from the CPU efficiently, reducing the chance of heat recirculation inside the chassis.
As a result, the desktop is able to maintain whisper-quiet operation at below 22dB in whisper mode, making it better suited for shared spaces such as living rooms, study areas or bedrooms where low noise matters.
Designed for Long-Term Reliability
ASUS is also emphasising durability and long-term ownership with the V500 SFF. The desktop uses premium solid capacitors and has undergone enterprise-grade durability testing, while its power supply carries an 80 PLUS Platinum certification for better energy efficiency.
Upgradeability is another plus, with support for up to two M.2 2280 SSDs, two DDR5 SO-DIMM memory slots and two SATA drives, allowing users to expand storage or memory over time as needed.
The desktop is further backed by a three-year onsite service warranty, giving buyers added peace of mind.
Malaysia Price and Availability
The ASUS V500 SFF (V501SV) is available in Malaysia starting today through authorised ASUS resellers.
It is offered in White and Black, paired with matching Grey Weave and Dark Wood front fascia options.
ASUS is currently offering an early bird price of RM2,899, while stocks last, down from its standard recommended retail price of RM3,899.
