Apple has officially launched the iPhone 17e in Malaysia, expanding its iPhone 17 lineup with a more accessible model that still packs flagship-level performance and upgraded storage as standard. Positioned as the entry point into the latest generation, the iPhone 17e focuses on delivering strong everyday performance, improved camera capabilities and longer-term software support at a competitive starting price.
The iPhone 17e features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, offering vibrant colours, deep blacks and high brightness for outdoor visibility. Powering the device is Apple’s new A19 chip built on an advanced process node, delivering faster CPU and GPU performance alongside improved power efficiency. This ensures smoother gaming, better multitasking and support for Apple’s latest AI-driven features integrated into iOS.

In terms of imaging, the iPhone 17e comes equipped with a 48MP main Fusion camera system that supports 2x optical-quality zoom through sensor cropping. Users can expect improved low-light performance, Smart HDR processing and 4K Dolby Vision video recording.

Durability remains a key highlight, with the device protected by Ceramic Shield on the front and an aerospace-grade aluminium frame. The iPhone 17e finally supports MagSafe, enabling magnetic accessories and faster wireless charging, along with standard Qi charging support. Face ID remains the primary biometric authentication method.
One of the biggest upgrades this year is storage. Apple now starts the iPhone 17e at 256GB, doubling what used to be the base configuration for entry-level models. Malaysian pricing is as follows:
256GB – RM2,999
512GB – RM3,799
The device is available in several colour options including Black, White and a new Soft Pink finish. Pre-orders are now open in Malaysia, with official sales beginning shortly at Apple Stores, authorised retailers and participating telcos nationwide.
