Inspired by the Kรกrmรกn Line, the boundary between Earth and space, the HUAWEI WATCH 5 comes in two sizes โ 42mm and 46mm โ offering a sleek, integrated design built with luxurious materials. The 42mm models come in Sand Gold and Beige, while the 46mm model adds a new Purple variant. The watches use 904L stainless steel for the 42mm and aerospace-grade silver for the 46mm, which is 45% lighter and nearly twice as strong as stainless steel. Each watch is finished with durable sapphire glass and available in minimalist 316L stainless steel options.
Three strap materials are available: titanium, fluoroelastomer, and a new composite leather-like strap that is waterproof, odor-free, and stylish. High-tech plain leather straps in denim (beige) and silk (purple) offer fashionable variety.
X-TAP Technology: A Leap in Health Tracking
At the heart of the WATCH 5 is Multi-sensing X-TAP, which integrates ECG, PPG, and tactile sensors in one system. This allows for fingertip-based health readings with enhanced precision. A simple three-second touch on the X-TAP sensor activates Health Glance, generating a detailed 10-metric health report within 60 seconds โ including heart rate variability, blood oxygen, and emotional well-being.
HUAWEI also debuts fingertip blood oxygen monitoring, delivering readings in under 10 seconds by leveraging the fingertipโs thinner skin and rich blood vessels for more accurate pulse wave detection.
Smart Gestures and Seamless Connectivity
The WATCH 5 also introduces gesture controls, including Double Slide and Double Tap, for handling calls, music, and even remote smartphone camera control โ without needing to touch the screen. These gestures also work with select third-party apps.
With built-in eSIM support, the WATCH 5 keeps users connected without a phone, ideal for active lifestyles. A dual-mode battery system offers flexibility: the 46mm model lasts up to 4.5 days (Standard Mode) or 11 days (Battery Saver), while the 42mm model delivers up to 3 days or 7 days, respectively.
