What was once a gimmick has now become a necessity in smartphones – fast-charging has come a long way in the past decade; sitting on the throne with the quickest fast charge tech is OPPO with their 65W SuperVOOC that can power a 4,200mAh in just half an hour or so.
In comparison, a regular 10W charger needs about one hour or more to fully power a battery of that capacity – OPPO’s 65W is honestly plenty fast, but Lenovo Legion begs to differ. The company took to Weibo to tease their 90W fast charging tech that’ll be available on the Legion Legion gaming phone.
The device is likely to have a 5,000mAh battery powering it so a 90W charger would do wonders to keep the smartphone juiced after multiple hours of gaming. The phone will also sport a Snapdragon 865 chipset which with 5G support, and most likely a high-refresh rate display, so the phone definitely needs all it can to stay powered.
There’s no word yet on when the phone will be launched, but we know it’s real and we can’t wait for its arrival.
