Even with the successful response and release of the OnePlus 6, the company is still making strides to its previous flagship phones making them better with each software update. In the most recent OxygenOS Beta update, it is going to get a whole lot better in terms of look and functionality.

The new beta build has introduced Project Treble to the OnePlus 5 and 5T. This integration allows for faster software updates as it speeds up the process of getting the latest updates to users as fast as possible. Manufacturers will not need to make changes to the main Android framework as Google has taken the initiative to separate the framework from the codes implemented by the manufacturer. Project Treble have already been adopted by companies like Samsung, LG, Huawei and now we can add OnePlus to the list.

On the other hand, the new beta build will bring changes to the OxygenOS interface by adding support for accent colours, alongside improvements to the launcher, phone and weather app.
