If there’s any telco that could disrupt the industry when it come to postpaid offerings, U Mobile would be the champ on doing that, as the company has unveiled its new Giler Unlimited plan for both postpaid and prepaid users, the plans are known as the Postpaid GX50 and Prepaid GX30, both plans will offer unlimited data on all apps at RM50 and RM30 monthly respectively, making this the most affordable unlimited data plan in Malaysia’s telco history.
Of course, there is obviously a catch.
For the Postpaid GX50 plan, users are limited to 5 Mbps of speed for the unlimited data, while you still get unlimited voice calls to all network and 5GB of free hotspot data. As for the Prepaid GX30 plan, the data speed is further lowered to 3 Mbps, hotspot data is also limited to 3GB and you will need to pay for voice calls after exceeding the daily 50 minutes all-net call quota. Furthermore, what you will be missing from the Unlimited Hero Postpaid plans is free roaming data and signing up for share member lines.
Both the Giler Unlimited Postpaid GX50 and Prepaid GX30 are currently available for sign up at all U Mobile stores nationwide, the Prepaid GX30 starter pack price is also unchanged at RM8.50 and comes with RM5 of credit. For more info, head on over to U Mobile’s website.
