Google has big plans in store for Android P, as the tech giant has mentioned that they are improving the look of the software to making it more appealing to iPhone users in hopes they will jump ship over to Android.
They are also designing the OS to accommodate the notch seen in a few Android phones like the Essential and other manufacturer’s phones that will come with a notch. This decision is due to the fact that a lot of recent and upcoming phones are now going bezeless and some rumours are also reporting support for phones that come with multiple screens and foldable displays. Google Assistant will also be getting an upgrade as they are considering to allow third-party developers to integrate their apps with Assistant.
Based on major previous Android releases, Google is likely to announce Android P developer preview somewhere in March and a full unveiling at Google I/O in May before users can get their hands on the new OS in Fall.
