More than 6 million iPhone X units sold last weekend

Last weekend may have seemed like any other weekend to some, but to others it means saving a whole lot of cash on discounted purchases. It might not be as apparent here as it is in the US, but Black Friday weekend was filled with sales and discounts in stores nationwide, and although Apple did not discount its iPhone X smartphone, it sure sold like hot cakes last weekend.

According to a report, a whopping over 6 million units of the iPhone X were sold worldwide last weekend, which is an astonishing figure for 3 days. The report also indicates that the 256GB units sold doubled that of the entry level 64GB variant. This does not come as a surprise, including the fact that other iPhones apart from the X were popular as well, with the figures totaling up to 15 million units.

it looks like the iPhone X has been received way better than the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, the latter two which saw underwhelming launches in stores worldwide with minimal crowds. The 6 million units sold also proves that consumers are still capable of paying premium prices for their phones, with the iPhone X costing RM 5,199 and above.
