It seems like the Moto branding on Lenovo-Motorola’s phones will still be retained this year. However, we do see a tinge of change when it comes to the naming of the handsets. For instance, a rumored Moto X3 and most recently, a Moto G4. Not to be confused with the LG G4 from last year, the rumored Moto G4 isn’t a device which came out of the blue as a result of the Lenovo-Motorola merger. Instead, the Moto G4 is the name for the upcoming 4th gen Moto G.
While rumors seem to be all over the place on whether the handset will be carrying the “Moto G4” title or remain as the “Moto G”, we’ll be sticking with the Moto G4 for now. Specs wise, the G4 is said to be sporting a 5.5-inch display, 16GB of internal storage and a 13MP rear camera. There seems to be a Moto G4 Plus in the works as well, featuring the same 5.5-inch screen and internal storage with the difference being the 16MP rear shooter. So far, info on the Moto G4 and G4 Plus’ processor and RAM count have yet to be revealed, or rather, leaked.
Nevertheless, along with the leaked specs are a couple of images of the alleged handset, giving us a peek on the front and back panels of the Moto G4. On the back, the rear camera is housed underneath a layer of glass with a dual-tone LED flash below it. Above the camera sit two unknown sensors. The tiny hole beside the camera setup is most probably a microphone. The same “hole” is seen on the front of the device, beside a square-ish home button, which should house a fingerprint sensor underneath. One thing to note is, the Moto logo is still retained with no signs of a Lenovo branding based on the two images. What do you think about the Moto G4 and G4 Plus?
