Fitness trackers are becoming increasingly popular and smartphone brands have already started producing their own fitness trackers, including Samsung. Samsung’s new Galaxy Fit and Fit-e are now in Malaysia and both are going to be available from June 14.
The Galaxy Fit is clearly to higher-end model; it sports a bigger 0.95-inch AMOLED full colour display while the Fit-e has a 0.74-inch PMOLED mono display. Despite that, both wearables runs on FreeRTOS and supports Bluetooth v5.0, in addition to having a 5ATM rating that makes the devices water resistant up to 50m for 10 minutes.
Both devices are also able to track activity status and receive smartphones notifications, and while the Galaxy Fit-e can automatically track three types of workout (walking, running and dynamic workout), the Galaxy Fit can track up to six activities automatically. The wearables also have HR sensor and can automatically track user’s sleep pattern, but the Fit-e can only track three sleeping stages while the Galaxy Fit can track four.
The Fit has a 120mAh battery while the Fit-e has a 70mAh battery, but the former also has an additional 32GB storage. Both devices are also made with military-level durability standards. The Galaxy Fit is available at RM369 in either Black or Silver, while the Galaxy Fit-e is available at RM139 in either Black or White. They can be purchased at Samsung Malaysia Online Store and also Samsung Experience stores.
