Not too long ago, we were told that vivo has a sub-brand named iQOO that focuses on gaming phones. Its first phone was announced back in March, and now there’s going to be a new edition of the iQOO phone — iQOO Space Knight Limited Edition.
This limited edition iQOO is similar to the normal edition where it has a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. It has a water drop notch paired with an in-display fingerprint sensor and the phone does not skip on the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Under the hood, the iQOO Space Knight Limited Edition also houses a Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with Adreno 640 GPU, but it’ll only come in one configuration — 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Just like the recent vivo smartphones, this phone ships with Android 9 with a Funtouch OS skin on top.
There will also be a 4,000mAh battery in the phone that can be charged via USB-C, and it will be supporting 44W fast charging. The main camera is a 12MP lens, accompanied by a 13MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. Meanwhile, the notch will hold its 12MP selfie camera.
In truth, this special edition doesn’t have much difference compared to the normal edition except for its packaging and the back of the phone itself. The rear of the iQOO Space Knight Limited edition has a matte finish with a texture that looks like the Pocophone F1’s Kevlar finish. There will also be a special box that is space-themed and includes a custom engraved nameplate on a metal piece.
The current 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs CNY4298, so we will be expecting this special edition to be slightly pricier. That being said, even the special edition might not exceed RM3,000, which is really something for a flagship device.
