Samsung is definitely on the right path to redemption. The company dealt with a global crisis in regards to the Galaxy Note 7 when it was launched last year. The fire hazard incidents resulted in a global recall of the Note 7 before a fated discontinuation and the killing off of Samsung’s 2016 flagship phablet. But this year the South Korean manufacturer is aiming to bounce back from its losses made with the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. Prior to that, Samsung has already shipped out more than 20 million units of the Galaxy S8 series.

Statistics by analyst site Strategy Analytics indicate that the shipments of the Galaxy S8 series have recently crossed the 20 million mark. The company recorded 19.8 million units shipped in late June before breaking the 20 million milestone figure early last month.

This milestone undoubtedly proves Samsung’s Galaxy S8 series to be one of its most successful selling flagship series so far, and the numbers will only go up towards the end of 2017. Strategy Analytics also reports an average of 278,800 Galaxy S8 units sold daily, which is an impressive result.

With the Samsung flag flying high at the moment, the company will be facing tough competition when it launches the Galaxy Note 8. Apple is slated to unveil the iPhone 8 series and LG is rumored to put up a good fight with its upcoming LG V30 as well.
