As some of you have known, OnePlus has kicked off its beta program for its first flagship of 2017 the OnePlus 5 with OxygenOS based on Android Oreo. The beta program would mean that OnePlus will keep on improving on its software before making it available for an official public stable release. Having commenced a couple of weeks back, the second Open Beta software has rolled out for the OnePlus 5.

The beta software update for the OnePlus 5 includes a bunch of fixes and improvement that should generally refine the overall user experience. The update will include fixing some widget and shortcut issues relating to the OnePlus launcher. The camera app would also receive some UI improvements as well. The file manager gets new support for f4v format videos, along with faster speed when deleting massive files.

The rest of the fixes and improvements are for the system. These include:

  • Improvements for Reading Mode
  • Improvements for vibration
  • Improvements for Bluetooth audio
  • Fixed Parallel Apps bugs
  • Fixed reboot issue when using Picture in Picture
  • Updated Android security patch to November
  • General bug fixes and stability improvements

There is no sight of the Face Unlock feature just yet that came with the launch of the OnePlus 5T. Earlier rumors pointed out that the OnePlus 5 will have Face Unlock in the future, given that there are no changes in the front facing camera from the OP5 to the OP5T. You can still opt for the Open Beta Program if you haven’t yet. The updates can be found at the source link below.
