It has been almost a month since Samsung officially begun its sale of the Galaxy S8 flagship series. South Korean news outlet Chosun Biz has reported that Samsung has sold a whopping 10 million units of the Galaxy S8 since last month on April 21st.
According to the report, the 10 million figure is estimated to be 20 to 30 percent more than that of the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge when it went on sale. Older flagships such as the Galaxy S4 and the S5 managed to reached record highs as well, both hitting the 10 million mark in less than a month.
Regardless, the Galaxy S8 series is predicted to be Samsung’s best ever selling device. The flagship by the South Korean manufacturer is a beautifully and carefully designed phone, sporting extremely minimal bezels with a vivid display. Beneath the glass design lies an impressive spec sheet as well, with Qualcomm’s top of the line Snapdragon 835 processor. It also retains the water resistance feature which went missing from the S6 series before making a comeback in the S7.
Chosun Biz states that Samsung will be expanding the market reach of the Galaxy S8 series to exceed 120 countries in this month, including an anticipated China launch.
