You can transfer WhatsApp chats from iOS to any Android 12 phone soon

You will soon be able to transfer your WhatsApp chat history from your iPhone over to any Android 12 device – finally making the transition from iOS to Android more convenient.

The feature currently only works with Samsung devices – but Google has come out to announce that any phone that shops with Android 12 will soon be able to do the same.

Google is expanding the feature to its newest Pixel 6 devices first, and the process of transferring your chats is similar to when doing it using a Samsung.

You will need a Lightning-to-Type C cable, and when both your iPhone and Android phones are tethered, you’ll be presented with a QR code on the former to start the transferring process.

With this feature, iPhone users can now consider switching sides without worry of losing their chats. If you’re someone who’s been thinking of doing the same, let us know your thoughts on Google’s announcement in the comments below!
