Xiaomi’s 5G foldable phones to be available in 2021

Foldable phones are no longer surprising, but they’re nevertheless interesting; Xiaomi’s first foldable phone will be joining the market sometime this year and the company will include 5G support.

The Xiaomi 5G foldable phone should be a flagship

In a TENAA certification discovered by Digital Chat Station, the foldable phone can only be confirmed to come with 5G, has a dual-SIM card tray and ships with Android. However, reports and speculations suggested the phone to come with a Snapdragon 888 chip, a 120Hz display and even a 108MP camera. The foldable device may even be in the Mix series instead of its own new lineup.

There will be three new foldable phones from Xiaomi

The CEO of DSCC Ross Young previously mentioned that the company will be releasing three types of foldable designs — inwards fold, outwards fold and clamshell. In a leaked image, the foldable phone appeared fold inwards, but we also see an obvious crease which is a common issue faced by foldable devices.

That being said, there’s no credible information on these phones exact availability and pricing yet.
