Whatsapp gets document sharing feature

Whatsapp has began to rollout updates for both Android and iOS platform to some users today.

The Whatsapp for Android update now includes document sharing support, however limited only to PDF files. The feature allows you to share PDF documents to your friends in Whatsapp. Tapping on the attachment button will show a new “Document” option, which then brings you to your file manager. You are also able to share documents stored in other storage apps, such as Dropbox and Google Drive.

Whatsapp for the iPhone has also received the document sharing support update, and a new option for the somewhat rigid OS which now allows you to share pictures and videos from other apps on your iPhone. Also included is a newly improved design for browsing photos and videos, and a pinch to zoom feature while playing videos.

Do check in to your Play Store or App Store for updates, but do note that the updates are still in the midst of rolling out. Till then stay tuned and be patient!
