Western Digital introduces two new portable SSD storage for photographers

Western Digital Malaysia has introduced durable and high-performance media capture solutions that come in the form of two new portable SSDs. These SSDs are the My Passport Wireless SSD and the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD.

My Passport Wireless SSD

My Passport Wireless SSD is made to preserve photos and videos captured on cameras or drones. It features a one-touch card copy that allows for editing and sharing of content as well as the capability to directly access the drive via third-party mobile creative apps like FiLMiC Pro and LumaFusion.

It also comes with a built-in SD card reader with supports up to 65MB/s read speeds and a one-touch button to backup all your photos from an SD card. The SSD inside is protected from shock, vibrations and drops up to 1 meter.

SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD

The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD supports high-speed transfers up to 550MB/s read speeds and has a IP55 certification for water, dust resistant and a solid state core for greater durability.

All of these features are fit into a chassis that fits comfortably in your hand and it works with both PC and Mac computers.

My Passport Wireless SSD comes with a two-year limited warranty and will be available at the end of July. It also comes in different storage sizes, RM1,099 for 250GB, RM1,499 for 500GB, RM2,299 for 1TB and RM3,699 for 2TB. The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD comes with a three-year limited warranty and comes with a retail price of RM529 for 250GB, RM829 for 500GB, RM1,699 for 1TB and RM3,299 for 2TB. Both storage solutions can be purchased at all IT retail outlets and online stores including Lazada, 11street and Shopee.
