Vivo officially debuts the V3Max in Malaysia

Shortly after making its debut in India, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has officially launched their latest upper mid-range offering today: the vivo V3Max.

Powering the vivo V3Max is the Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM, giving the V3Max a bigger kick than your average mid-range smartphone. The V3Max also comes with 32GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded to a maximum of 128GB. For the OS, the V3Max runs on Android 5.1 with the Funtouch OS 2.5 skin.

While the phone itself sits on the mid-range sector, the design of it is anything but. For one, the V3Max is constructed out of an aluminium magnesium alloy which gives the phone a premium-look to it. To complement the look of the V3Max, vivo has also given the phone an additional zircon sand-coating throughout the body. This gives the V3Max a nice smooth feel when it is held in your hand. The display was also given a special touch as the 5.5″ Full HD IPS display of the V3Max is protected by the 3rd generation 2.5D Gorilla Glass.

Behind the V3Max is a 360 degree fingerprint sensor that allows you to unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. Aside from being a security feature, the fingerprint sensor can also double as a shutter for the cameras of the phone. Speaking of which, the V3Max comes with a 13MP Rear Camera with LED Flash support and an 8MP Front Camera. High fidelity audio is a signature part of a Vivo phone and the V3Max is no different as it comes with an AKM4375, a Hi-Fi chip that is made exclusively for vivo. Rounding up the V3Max, the 3,000 mAh battery on the phone comes with Dual-Charge Circuits, a fast charging technology that would give you two hours of non-stop music playback with just five minutes of charge time.

Interested? The vivo V3Max will be available on the 15th of April with a retail price of RM 1,399.
